Health Centre Cleaning Operative

Harwood Group Practice is looking for a Health Centre Cleaning operative.

Working Monday to Friday 5pm - 8pm at Harwood Medical Centre, BL2 3HQ.

Suitable Applicants will be expected to:
- Clean and sanitise designated areas, including toilet facilities, clinical rooms, offices, and common areas.
- Sweep, mop, and vacuum floors.
- Dust furniture and fixtures.
- Empty clinical and general waste receptacles and replace liners.
- Handle clinical sharp containers
- Clean windows, glass surfaces, and mirrors.
- Restock supplies in restrooms, clinical rooms & break rooms.
- Follow cleaning procedures and safety guidelines.
- Be familiar with infection control procedures and COSHH
- Close & secure the building (Keys & Training provided)

- Previous experience as a cleaner or in a similar role is essential.
- Knowledge of cleaning chemicals, equipment & infection control procedures.
- Ability to work independently and efficiently.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Good communication skills.
- Physical stamina to perform cleaning tasks throughout the shift.
- Clear Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check.
- Reference from current/previous employment

Receptionist/Administration Assistant

Starting Hourly Rate from £10.86 - 30 Hours per week with opportunities for regular overtime.

Experience in General Practice is preferred however, training will be provided on-site.

A suitable candidate is:

To provide a high quality, professional reception, and administrative services to patients, doctors, staff, colleagues, health service professionals, and others. To act as the first point of contact for patients contacting the Practice and to portray the Practice in the highest possible professional basis. To ensure that enquiries from patients are efficiently and courteously handled to the mutual satisfaction of the partners and patients.

-- Greet patients and visitors to the practice.
-- Book in, amend, and cancel patient appointment in line with practice appointment procedures ensuring optimum efficiency of the appointment system.
-- Respond and/or redirect all patient and visitor requests accordingly.
-- Ensure reception and waiting areas are kept neat and tidy.
-- Re-stocking of information leaflets, forms, sample bottles, etc. as appropriate.
-- Answering incoming telephone calls, ensuring calls are documented and redirected accordingly.
-- Undertake administration tasks as allocated by the Office Manager.
-- Ensure up-to-date maintenance of both computerised and manual filing systems (i.e. patient notes).
-- Check emails on a daily basis.
-- Regularly check tasks and notifications on EMIS Web.
